To help healthcare organizations better understand how to attract, develop and retain valuable healthcare professionals, Aon Consulting, in partnership with ASHHRA and AHA, will begin collecting data for its 2004 Healthcare @Work® study on March 25. The data gathering will continue until April 30. Aon Consulting, through its @Work series of reports, was the first consulting organization to define "workforce commitment" and has continually measured workforce commitment over the past seven years in the US and other countries. Using a series of questions in the areas of productivity, pride and retention, responsibility and trust Aon created the Workforce Commitment Index, or WCI(TM), to track and trend the levels of workforce commitment.
